Student Affairs Department is competent for conducting, organizing and supervising the recruitment of first-year students of all cycles, recruitment of candidates for postgraduate studies, cooperation with the student government, awarding student scholarships, accomodation at student halls, MOST programme mobility, etc.

    „MOST” STUDENT AND DOCTORAL STUDENT MOBILITY PROGRAMME

    Admission for the winter semester and for the entire academic year 2021/2022

    1. Create an account or log in to IRK MOST system (https://irkmost.amu.edu.pl/pl/)
    2. Select the course(s) at the university where you wish to pursue the MOST exchange program.

    REMEMBER !!! about keeping your priorities in choosing your fields of study.

    1. Generate an application.
    2. Printed and signed application should be scanned and sent to the email address of the University of Szczecin Coordinator: ewa.czerwinska@usz.edu.pl
    3. If you choose to include a cover letter with your application, you should also print it out, sign it, and send it as a scan along with your application to the email address listed above.
    4. The University of Szczecin Coordinator will inform you of the receipt of your application (cover letter) by return email, which is the confirmation of your application.
    5. The application will then be submitted to the competent Deputy-Dean for Student Affairs and the Deputy- Rector for Student Affairs for approval.
    6. A student will be notified by the University of Szczecin Coordinator in an email if the student receives an approval.
    7. The approval of applications will be uploaded to the IRK system and presented to the University Education Committee.
    8. Decisions of the University Education Committee will be available on individual student accounts in the IRK program.

    After qualifying for the “MOST” programme, a student is obliged to sign the curriculum  agreement. In order to obtain assistance in creating such an agreement, please contact the faculty coordinators of the University of Szczecin.

    ORDINANCE NO. 177/2019
    OF THE RECTOR OF THE UNIVERSITY OF SZCZECIN
    of November 7, 2019.

    on the method of selecting the best graduates of first-cycle studies, second-cycle studies and long-term  studies at the University of Szczecin who are entitled to apply for student loan remission

    Pursuant to Article 23 section 1 of the Act of 20 July 2018. – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2018, item 1668, as amended) and § 13, sections 1-4 of the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 20 December 2018 (Journal of Laws 2018, item 2468), in consultation with the university student government body, decides as follows:

    §1.

    The University of Szczecin establishes the following rules for selecting the best graduates of first-cycle studies, second-cycle studies, and long-term studies for the purpose of issuing certificates entitling to a remission of a loan taken by a student.

    §2.

    At the borrower’s request, the student loan may be remitted by the lending institution:

    – in 50% – in case the borrower graduated from a higher education institution in a group of up to 1%,

    – in 35% – in case the borrower graduated from a higher education institution in the group from 1.01% to 5%,

    – 20% – if the borrower graduated from a university in the group from 5.01% to 10% of the best graduates of first-cycle studies, second-cycle studies or long-term studies, in a given academic year.

    §3.

    The Department of Student Affairs shall prepare, on the basis of data provided by the faculties, a list of the best graduates from the previous academic year, separately for first-cycle studies, second-cycle studies, and long-term studies, according to the following rules:

    • for graduates of the 2018/2019 academic year, the list is made up of the top graduates who graduated between December 16, 2018 and December 15, 2019;
    • for graduates of the 2019/2020 academic year, the list is made up of the top graduates who graduated between December 16, 2019 and September 30, 2020;
    • for graduates of the academic year 2020/2021 and subsequent academic years, the list is made up of the best graduates who graduated between October 1 and September 30.

    §4.

    Lists of graduates, separately for first-cycle studies, second-cycle studies, and long-term studies, as referred to in § 13 section 1 of the aforementioned regulation, shall be arranged in order of the obtained result of the studies, with three decimal points; in case of the same result of the studies completed by several students, an additional criterion shall be the average grade for the studies, determined in accordance with the Studies Regulations at the University of Szczecin.

    §5.

    By December 31st of a given calendar year, the Rector, in consultation with the student government, shall publish ranking lists of the best graduates, separately for first-cycle studies, second-cycle studies and long-term studies, in the previous academic year.

    §6.

    On the basis of the aforementioned lists, the Rector of the University issues a certificate confirming the qualification of a student-borrower to a certain percentage group of the best graduates, entitling them to apply for remission of the loan taken.

    §7.

    Ordinance No 85/2017 of the Rector of the University of Szczecin dated 21 December 2017 on the method of selecting the best graduates of the University of Szczecin entitled to apply for the remission of a student loan or a student loan, as amended, is repealed.

    §8.

    The Ordinance  shall enter into force on the date of its signature.

    INFORMATION CLAUSE ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA FOR STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF SZCZECIN

    In accordance with Article 13 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016. (General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter GDPR) we inform you that:

    1. The Controller of your personal data is the University of Szczecin, Al. Papieża Jana Pawła II 22a, 70-453 Szczecin, hereinafter referred to as “the Controller”, represented by the Rector;

    2. The Controller has appointed a Data Protection Inspector, who can be contacted in matters concerning the processing of personal data at the following e-mail address: iod@usz.edu. pl;

    3. Your personal data will be processed for the purposes of:

    a) The School is responsible for the implementation of the educational process, e.g. issuing student ID cards, documenting the course of studies, granting financial aid, granting a place in the student residence hall, organizing work placements, providing services to the Student Government and Student Research Groups,

    b) performing statistical, accounting and reporting duties of the Controller,

    c) Marketing of services provided by the Controller,

    d) ensure security of persons and property through video surveillance,

    e) archiving;

    4. The legal basis for processing your data is:

    a) Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, i.e. your consent to the processing of your personal data, including for the purposes set out in point 3(d). We will ask you about the impression of your consent each time, at the same time indicating the purpose of the processing, in a situation where there is no other legal basis for processing your personal data,

    b) Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR, i.e. fulfilment of the Controller’s legal obligations arising from the provisions of the Act of 20 July 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science and other regulations applicable to the Controller, including reporting, accounting, statistical and archiving obligations,

    c) Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, i.e. the implementation of the Controller’s legitimate interest in ensuring the security of persons and property, also through the use of video surveillance;

    5. The Controller may share your personal data with: internal organizational units of the Controller, entities providing services to the Controller on the basis of concluded agreements and other authorities or entities authorized on the basis of separate regulations;

    6. The Controller may entrust another entity, by means of a contract concluded in writing, with the processing of your personal data on behalf of the Controller, in particular entities providing entities providing and maintaining software used for processing student data;

    7. The Controller will keep your personal data for the duration of the education process,
    and then for a period of 50 years, unless separate provisions stipulate a different retention period.

    However, in the case of processing your data on the basis of consent, no longer than until you withdraw your consent;

    8. In cases, on the terms and in the mode specified in the applicable regulations, you have the right to request: access to data and their rectification (Article 15 and 16 GDPR), deletion of data (Article 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR), objection to processing (Article 21 GDPR), data portability (Article 20 GDPR) and withdrawal of your consent at any time without affecting the legality of the processing, which was performed on the basis of consent before its withdrawal;

    9. You have the right to lodge a complaint to the supervisory authority – the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection – in case you suspect that your personal data is being processed by the Controller in violation of the law;

    10. The obligation to provide your personal data arises from the provisions of the Act of 20 July 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science. Failure to provide this data will prevent the implementation of the educational process. Providing personal data in the remaining scope is not obligatory, although it is necessary to realize the purposes for which they will be collected;

    11. Your personal data is not subject to automated decision-making, including profiling as referred to in Article 4(4) of the GDPR, which means a form of automated processing of personal data which involves the use of personal data to evaluate certain personal factors of an individual;

    12. Your personal data may be transferred to a third country (i.e. outside the EEA) or to an international organisation on the principles laid down in the provisions of law.
