
The Jubilee Gala of the University of Szczecin took place at the Polish Theatre. The event was an opportunity to honour people who have made a special contribution to the development of the University of Szczecin. The ceremony, full of emotion and reflection, was not only a moment of reminiscing and summing up, but above all a symbolic thank you to those who, with their daily work, passion and commitment, co-create the history of our University.
During the Gala the jubilee awards granted by the University of Szczecin on the occasion of its 40th anniversary were presented. This is a form of gratitude for many years of contribution to the improvement of the University. One of the most important moments was the honouring of the Senior Rectors of the University of Szczecin with commemorative medals – as an expression of appreciation for their work and commitment. The awards were received by prof. dr hab. inż. Hubert Bronk and prof. dr hab. Zdzisław Chmielewski, whose scientific and organisational achievements played a significant role in shaping the university.
The Special Award was granted to the government administration of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, the West Pomeranian Voivodeship Self-Government and the City of Szczecin – in recognition of their long-term, fruitful cooperation with the University of Szczecin.
The remaining statuettes went to people who build the prestige and value of our University through their activities:

During the Jubilee Gala, representatives of the Institutes of the University of Szczecin were awarded medals for their long-term work for science, teaching and academic life. The Institutes, together with their academic staff, have played a key role in the development of research at the University of Szczecin, educating students and supporting the image of the University as a modern institution for four decades. It is a tradition of the University of Szczecin to annually award the Rector’s Awards to students who have distinguished themselves in a special way with their activity, achievements and commitment. This was also the case during this year’s Jubilee Gala, where the most active students were honored. The Rector of the University of Szczecin awarded students who make a significant contribution to the development of scientific, sports, artistic and social and organizational life of the university.
