On June 18, 2026, a solemn conferment ceremony for doctors and habilitated doctors took place at the Center for Teaching and Research in Natural Sciences of the University of Szczecin. This event marked the culmination of many years of research into selected scientific issues and the crowning achievement of the academic efforts made by the newly promoted scholars.
This exceptional event was attended by the University authorities: Prof. Dr. Hab. Waldemar Tarczyński – Rector of the University of Szczecin, Prof. Dr. Hab. Andrzej Skrendo – Vice-Rector for Science, Prof. Dr. Hab. Renata Podgórzańska – Vice-Rector for Education, Dr. Hab. Katarzyna Kotarska, Prof. US – Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, and Dr. Hab. Jacek Batóg, Prof. US – Vice-Rector for Finance. The ceremony was also attended by the Directors of the Institutes, Academic Supervisors, and the loved ones of the newly promoted scholars.
Doctoral conferment ceremonies are among the most solemn events in academic life. They represent the culmination of many years of dedicated work by scholars whose knowledge and research contribute to the advancement of science. It is also a unique occasion to highlight the importance of perseverance and a passion for discovery. Two individuals joined the ranks of habilitated doctors, while fifteen researchers reinforced the ranks of doctors.
