The promotions of doctors and habilitated doctors always have a special character, as they are crowning many years of effort and scientific care of the supervisors. This important ceremony for the University took place on 12 June 2025 at the Geocentrum – the Center for Competence in Earth and Environmental Sciences.
The event was attended by the University authorities, Directors of Institutes, supervisors, families and friends of the promoted persons. The scientific celebration of the University began with a speech by prof. dr hab. Waldemar Tarczyński, Rector of the University of Szczecin, who emphasized the importance of science and research for the development of society and the role played by young scientists in shaping the future. The University of Szczecin has expanded its academic group by one habilitated doctor and thirty-nine doctors.
