On 20 May 2026 we officially announced the start of enrollment at the University of Szczecin for the 2026/2027 academic year. The university has prepared over 10 000 places for candidates and a broad and modern educational offering encompassing 90 fields of study across seven faculties.

This year’s enrollment campaign is accompanied by the slogan “Shine at the University of Szczecin!”, which highlights the individual potential of candidates and the development opportunities the university offers. The university focuses not only on imparting knowledge but also on supporting students in building their own academic, professional, and personal paths.
In addition to highly popular majors like psychology, law, and English studies, we have adapted our educational offerings to the needs of the job market, the realities of today, and what our future students expect from us. Candidates currently prioritize practical training, so we are transforming our programs with this in mind, teaching students skills for the future. These include foreign languages, as well as communication and management skills. We support students’ academic and educational development while also focusing on their passions and personal growth. New study programs
In the 2026/2027 academic year, the University of Szczecin is launching new undergraduate programs, including Environmental Protection, German Studies with English, and Logistics Management in Healthcare. A second-cycle program taught in English, Global Communication, and a single master’s degree program in German and Polish Studies, including a joint teacher training program, will also be offered.
The new study programs are distinguished by their practical approach, close cooperation with the socio-economic environment, and an emphasis on developing future-oriented competencies. The university actively collaborates with external partners, including in organizing internships, placements, and research projects.
In parallel, we update the curricula in many fields annually to address current challenges and changing socio-economic realities. A good example is the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Szczecin, which is introducing a new, more practical program in law, responding to the changing needs of the labor market. In addition to a solid foundation, students work on real-world cases from the outset, participate in simulations and projects, and develop communication skills, including through the “Moot & Speech” module. The program offers greater flexibility by allowing students to choose modules and classes tailored to their career path. This program is for those who want to learn law through practice, not just theory. In the International Relations program, for example, we are developing collaborations with the socio-economic community, as exemplified by the agreement signed with Polska Żegluga Morska (Polish Steamship Company), which includes joint efforts to adapt curricula to real market needs. This collaboration will include the exchange of experiences, particularly the review and development of study programs, the organization of internships and placements, the implementation of joint scientific, research, and educational projects, as well as the development of theses related to the practice of economic and international life.
New Research Laboratories
The University of Szczecin is also developing its teaching infrastructure, including modern laboratories designed to support students’ practical education and increase their competitiveness in the job market. The conference presented the “Practical Laboratories of the University of Szczecin” project, which involves the creation of four modern laboratories: business process analysis and simulation (Business Process Analysis and Simulation Laboratory), 3D object modeling (3D object modeling laboratory), artificial intelligence (AI Laboratory), and spatial management (GEO-Lab). The AI laboratory will also function as a FabLab – the infrastructure will also be used by students, entrepreneurs, and the local community. The laboratories will be located in Szczecin at ul. Cukrowa 12K, ul. Krakowska 81, and ul. Mickiewicza 66. The aim of the investment is to develop students’ practical skills and adapt education to the needs of the job market through the use of modern technologies, including AI, data analysis, and 3D printing. The laboratories will enable the implementation of project classes, workshops, internships and cooperation with entrepreneurs.
Psychological Support for Students
Caring for students’ mental health is also a key element of the university’s activities. To this end, the University of Szczecin has launched a support platform, www.sygnow.usz.edu.pl, which provides information and initiatives related to mental health. The project aims to build a community based on openness, sensitivity, and mutual support. The website will not only offer help but also indicate where to find it, promote initiatives implemented at the university, and activities undertaken by students themselves in the area of mental health and well-being.
