A meeting with representatives of Flanders – one of Belgium’s three federal regions – was held at the Rector’s Office at the University of Szczecin. The guests were Matthias de Moor, General Representative of Flanders, and Tijs Verstraete, Policy Officer at the Flemish Representation.
Our university was represented by prof. dr hab.Waldemar Tarczyński, Rector of the University of Szczecin, and dr hab. Kinga Flaga-Gieruszyńska, prof. US, Vice-Rector for Organization. Dr Joanna Misiukajtis, Head of the International Relations Dept., also participated in the meeting.
The visit provided an opportunity to discuss the prospects for cooperation between the University of Szczecin and Belgian universities in the Flemish region. Such cooperation is mutually beneficial and opens up new opportunities. Both sides expressed their willingness to reach an agreement.
