The PhD candidates in history and philosophy cordially invite to the international conference on the topic of legitimization. How does ruler gain acceptance in society? What makes people submit to those in power? The conference is intended for researchers and PhD students in the humanities and social sciences.
Legitimization is of great importance for social stability, continuity of power and effective management. In turn, its loss can lead to serious social and political changes and even threaten the security of decision-makers. The conference is a platform for the exchange of ideas for specialists from various fields: political science, sociology, history and others. We will explore a wide range of legitimation strategies and consider the real nature of power.
The conference will take place on 23-25 April 2025 and is organized by the PhD candiates from the Doctoral School of the University of Szczecin: mgr Alicja Neumann-Karpińska, mgr Paweł Neumann-Karpiński, mgr Filip Przytulski and mgr Michał Rozenberg.
