On 6 October 2025, a meeting was held between prof. dr hab. Waldemar Tarczyński, Rector of the University of Szczecin, prof. dr. Rimvydas Petrauskas, Rector of Vilnius University, and dr. Artūras Vasiliauskas, Vice-Rector for Partnerships of Vilnius University.
The meeting was also attended by prof. dr hab. Andrzej Skrendo, Vice-Rector for Research at the University of Szczecin; dr hab. Agnieszka Szudarek, prof. US, Director of the Institute of History at the University of Szczecin; dr hab. Jarosław Korpysa, prof. US, Director of the Doctoral School at the University of Szczecin; and dr. Joanna Misiukajtis, Head of International Relations Dept. at the University of Szczecin. The discussions focused on cooperation between Vilnius University and the Institute of History and the Doctoral School of the University of Szczecin.
The schedule of the Vilnius University delegation’s visit also included a meeting with Mr. Piotr Krzystek, Mayor of Szczecin.
Professor Dr. Rimvydas Petrauskas and Dr. Artūras Vasiliauskas visited the Main Library of the University of Szczecin. The meeting, during which the academic profile and achievements of the staff of the University of Szczecin’s Institute of History were presented and opportunities for cooperation and academic exchange were discussed, was attended by prof. dr hab. Andrzej Skrendo, dr hab. Agnieszka Szudarek, prof.US, dr hab. Radosław Skrycki, prof. US, Director of the Main Library, prof. dr hab. Radosław Gaziński, dr hab. Paweł Gut, prof. US and dr Joanna Misiukajtis. The University of Szczecin also presented the work of Eilhard Lubinus and the Great Map of the Duchy of Pomerania, a proof print of Lubinus’s work dating from 1618, held in the library’s collection.
Professor Dr. Rimvydas Petrauskas and Dr. Artūras Vasiliauskas also visited the MOBI International Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Kulice. Prof. Dr. Rimvydas Petrauskas is a member of the MOBI Scientific Council for the 2024–2028 term. The meeting was attended by prof. dr hab. Andrzej Skrendo, prof. dr hab. Jörg Hackmann, Director of the International Center for Interdisciplinary Studies, prof. dr hab. Jan Piskorski, dr hab. Rafał Simiński, dr Paweł Migdalski, Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs at MOBI, Kamila Latocha, M.A., Deputy Director for Administrative Affairs at MOBI, and dr Joanna Misiukajtis.
