    Patryk Dobek, a student of the University of Szczecin, won a bronze medal in the final 800 meters run in Tokyo in 1: 45.39 seconds. Gold and silver went to the Kenyans. The first to finish was Emmanuel Korir (1: 45.06), and the second was Ferguson Rotich (1: 45.23).
