The EUA-CDE is Europe’s largest network of universities and institutions involved in doctoral education and research training. It works to promote joint development and the exchange of good practices. It is managed by the European University Association (EUA).

The initiative was launched in 2008. It brings together nearly 300 institutions from 39 countries that award doctoral degrees. EUA-CDE brings together academic leaders and professionals to support the transformation and strengthening of doctoral programmes in Europe through various projects and events – conferences, discussion forums, thematic groups. This facilitates the exchange of knowledge and experience. Its aim is to strengthen the quality of doctoral programmes, internationalise them, promote innovation and create a coherent European Doctoral Education Area.

The membership of the Doctoral School of the University of Szczecin in the European University Association Council for Doctoral Education (EUA-CDE) is a milestone for the unit in the process of internationalising doctoral education. Membership in the EUA-CDE also creates lasting conditions for the transfer of the best European standards and good practices in the field of doctoral supervision, the implementation of individual research plans, and organisational solutions supporting the functioning of the unit. As a result, membership in the EUA-CDE increases the potential of the SD US to build lasting international partnerships for the development and networking of the teaching and research potential of the University of Szczecin, emphasised dr hab. Jarosław Korpysa, prof. US and Director of the Doctoral School of the University of Szczecin.

Sincere congratulations on your membership in this prestigious network. We łwish you much inspiration.
