    We cordially invite you to participate in the course “New Technologies in Use”, designed for individuals aged 18 to 26 who wish to gain practical skills in the field of technologies shaping the modern world. The programme consists of six two-hour online sessions conducted by experts from various academic institutions. The classes will enable participants to explore key areas of emerging technologies and to acquire knowledge that may be applied in further education and professional practice.

    Course schedule:

    • 21 November, 15:00 (UBM) – Introduction to Emerging Technologies,
    • 24 November, 15:00 (UGB) – Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning,
    • 3 December, 15:00 (UHK) – Blockchain Technologies ,
    • 8 December, 15:00 (UKZN) – Internet of Things (IoT) – led by Naven Chetty,
    • 12 December, 15:00 (USZ) – Security, Misinformation and Digital Rights,
    • 17 November, 15:30 (AUO) – Tech for Good – Final Project.

     

    Participation in the course is open to young people from the Czech Republic, France, Nigeria, Poland, South Africa and Senegal.
    Registration is open until 20 November 2025. The number of places is limited.
