    We are proud to announce that prof. dr hab. Renata Podgórzańska on 20 May 2025 was promoted to highest academic grade by Mr Andrzej Duda, the President of the Republic of Poland. 

    Prof. dr hab. Renata Podgórzańska is a political scientist, she analyzes contemporary international relations, with particular emphasis on Poland’s foreign policy, Poland’s security policy, international conflicts, the process of stabilization and strengthening security in the Balkans. She is also interested in migration processes in the contemporary world, the migration crisis in Europe, and the securitization of the migration problem in Poland. She authored and co-authored 6 monographs, 12 edited works, and about 100 scientific articles.

    Since 2020, she has been the Vice-Rector for Education at the University of Szczecin. Previously, in 2008-2016, she served as Deputy Director of the Institute of Political Science and European Studies at the University of Szczecin; in 2016-2019, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Humanities for Education; in 2019-2020, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Szczecin.
