On 8-10 May 2025, the University of Szczecin will host VIII Foro de Lingüística Hispánica – the international conference organized by lecturers in Spanish Philology. Dr hab Monika Lisowska of the Institute of Linguistics of the University of Szczecin is a chairwoman of the organizing committee.
This conference is a valued forum for the exchange of scientific thought in the field of contemporary research in Spanish linguistics and is recognized by both Polish and foreign Hispanists. Its first edition took place in 2009 at the University of Lodz, and since then subsequent meetings have been organized every two years in various academic centers in Poland. The Szczecin edition will feature 52 speakers representing universities from Poland, Spain, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, the Czech Republic, Morocco, Chile, and the United States. The official language of the conference is Spanish.
