The Open Day 2025 will take place on 12 March 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Szczecin, at 71-79, Krakowska St. The event is dedicated to this year’s high school graduates, secondary school students, and teachers who may choose from numerous lectures, workshops, and laboratories prepared by the academic staff of the University of Szczecin and scientific groups.
Topics to be covered include:
- test yourself as an expert and recognize a hair,
- AI in Earth and Environmental Sciences,
- how to tame the Sun? Or the energy of stars in the laboratory,
- fake news on the Internet,
- how does intuition work?
- what do I know about my food?
- legal Escape Room
- can we raise an animal?
- forensic examination,
- mindfulness training,
- margarine, butter, and holes in bread. How do we make purchasing decisions?
- Social media and a healthy lifestyle.
For those interested in working in the media, we have prepared journalism workshops on UNIWIZJA television and NiUS Radio. Future candidates will also be able to visit scientific stands prepared by individual Institutes of the University of Szczecin throughout the day. The Open Day is also an opportunity to talk about individual fields of study with our students and lecturers.
In addition, experts from the Recruitment Office will advise how to avoid the most common mistakes made during the registration process. The recruitment team will also explain how to “read” the algorithm for converting percentage points from the final exams.
