A scientific journal of the University of Szczecin was presented as an example of good practice during a panel discussion: “Science in practice” at 2nd Scientific and Professional Conference on Renewable Economics – “ReECON”. Researchers of the Institute of Economics and Finance and the Institute of Management participated in the conference organized in Biograd na Moru in Croatia by University of Applied Sciences Baltazar Zaprešić and Virovitica University of Applied Sciences. The aim of the conference was to bring together scientists and practitioners from various fields of economics, business, tourism, IT, public policy, rural and regional development and other related fields promoting sustainable development.
Editor-in-chief of Folia Oeconomica Stetinensia, prof. Beata Bieszk-Stolorz and her deputy Dr Krzysztof Dmytrów presented the principles of the journal’s operation. It was an opportunity to promote FOS and attract more foreign authors and reviewers. The indexation of articles in the Scopus database is a great advantage of Folia Oeconomica Stetinensia since publishing in such a journal is the basis for obtaining academic degrees and titles in most European countries.
